Music, music, music.
I’ve been playing, recording, mixing, singing, writing, producing professionally for over 25 years. I’ve been involved with music for much longer than that having grown up in a brass band family playing cornet. Then I turned to rock drums and guitars in my teens. Then came visits to recording studios, which I mostly didn’t enjoy, so I started to build my own and learned on the job with my own bands before starting to help other people make their music.
I mostly work with singer-songwriters, duos or tiny groups. I understand that world because I’m very much active in it. I’ve been a performing singer-songwriter for more years than I care to mention. Sometimes that part of my work has taken a back seat, other times it has come forward to be more in the spotlight, which is very much the case right now – writing, producing and performing original songs with my wife Kelly under the name Kyson Point. Recent highlights include playing live on national radio for the BBC Radio 3 In Tune programme, being the featured artist for BBC Radio Suffolk’s Christmas Carol Service recording and receiving some very lovely reviews for our album “Underwater Sky”.
